How To Pass The CPA Exam With UWorld Roger CPA Review

Once you have your next section scheduled and you have your 8-12 weeks set to study, this is where the fun starts!

UWorld Roger CPA Review, in my opinion, is one of the best designed CPA prep platforms in terms of ease of use and efficient studying workflows.

My best advice is to dive into the learning process with high intensity.

What I teach my CPA exam mentees is to implement CPA Exam Study Loops.

This study method is designed to help you get through the UWorld Roger CPA Review material quickly but also leave time to review periodically so that nothing you have learned goes stale before you hit your final review stage.

Typically I recommend a 90/10 split between learning and reviewing during the first 6-10 weeks of your studying.

When you are consistiently looping back to older topics you will quickly start identifying the topics that you are struggling with and will help you determine where to spend your time.

What I love about UWorld Roger CPA Review is how easy it is to review with their custom built flashcard deck. Not only can you use their pre-made deck of most test flashcards, but as you discover topics that don't make sense, you can create your own flashcards as well.

Once you have completed your 6-10 CPA Exam Study Loop phase the fun really gets started!

You have now entered your Final Review Study Funnel phase where you will immerse yourself in all of your weakest areas by doing everything you can to funnel out what you do understand and only spending time on areas you are struggling with.

With UWorld Roger CPA Review they have an excellent technology called the SmartPath.

The SmartPath is designed to help you target the areas that you need to work on based on your previous results.

They also compare the questions that successful CPA candidates get right to the questions that you have missed to provide targeted recommendations for you.

This is a great way to funnel out what you do understand and only spend time on the areas that you need.

Now technology is great, but I also recommend that you take a manual approach as well when implementing Study Funnels.

This process is as follows:

Take a practice exam over EVERYTHING in the section.

Dig into the explanations for each question - right or wrong.

Make sure you understand WHY the question is right or wrong.

Anything that doesn't make sense, dig deeper and take note of the topic tested.

Once you have completed your review, take another practice exam over the specific topics noted.

See how you do and review each question.

Repeat this process, over and over.

This is how you truly funnel out everything you understand and focus on your weakest areas to tie everything together for exam day.

UWorld Roger CPA Review, like all other CPA review courses, isn't perfect.

A few things that you need to be aware of is that the SmartPath isn't broken out at a granular level.

It focuses on major topics which makes it a big difficult to dig into the nitty gritty topics you may want.

The work around for this is to use the question explanations to track the topics you are having issues with and using the links in the questions to head right to the source material.

Then after completing the whole topic, creating a practice quiz over everything in that topic.

Mentorship

UWorld Roger CPA Review is also lacking in terms of educating you on the soft skills necessary to pass the CPA exam.

They have limited training on HOW to acutally study.

They don't provide you with advice on how to mentally prepare for the exam, especially if you fail a section.

They don't provide you with personalized advice on how much time to spend studying for each section of the CPA exam.

These are all crucial areas that if you don't master then can cause lots of problems down the road.

Community

Another area that I wish UWorld Roger CPA Review focused on was providing you with community.

Sometimes you just need a place to vent a frustration with fellow CPA candidates and a safe place to do so.

Most of the people in your life won't understand what you are going through so surrounding yourself with fellow CPA candidates who are having the same experiences as you is invaluable.

BUT you also want a community that is positive + moderated. Because a negative group that isn't moderated quickly becomes a distracting mess, full of people you can't trust.

Accountability Partners

Another subset of people that I wish UWorld Roger CPA Review helped you find are accountability partners.

These are the people in your life most effected by your journey to becoming a CPA.

Your friends, family and co-workers who see you daily/weekly and are involved in your social circles.

These are the people that you need to hold you accountable for completing your studies.

They also need to be used as motivation for you to hit your study goals.
